Guru Poornima - Aniruddha Shubechya! July 22nd 2013

Tomorrow, 22nd July is Guru Purnima and we should start the day by chanting our Guru Mantra.

Om Manha Samarthyadaata Shri Aniruddhaya Namaha

We should also read Mantra 17 from the Divyaprakash Aradhana Jyoti book.

“Guru Bhavah Paramtirtham, Anya Tirtham Nirarthakam, Sarva Tirthashrayam Devi Padangushthecha Vartate Om Brahma-Vishnu- Maheshwarebhyam Namah”

Here Lord shiv is telling Goddess Paravti, that guru bhav is the most important pilgrimage, without gurubhav other pilgrimages have no meaning. Dattaguru's feet is the basis for all pilgrimages.

Bapu had explained the meaning of this mantra which is dedicated to Sadguru. The entire Aradhna Jyoti is dedicated to Sadguru. Bapu started His discourse by explaining a small part of prose from Shree Hanuman Chalisa which starts with “Shree Guru Charan Saroj Raj, Nij Manu Mukuru Sudhari”. Bapu said that a sacred hymn like Hanuman Chalisa also starts with praising the Sadguru's feet and the soil that touches it. Manu Mukuru means let my brow be covered and bestowed with the grace of having Sadguru’s charan-dhul (soil touched by his feet).
Our mind is often confused and our thoughts go in the wrong direction due to the wrong attractions and honey traps. Our mind can be steadied and we can achieve focus and cleansing only by our Sadguru.
Bapu said even in the Sunderkhand, it is written, “Garala Sudha Ripu Karahi Mitai” which means that with Sadguru’s blessings even our foe transforms to our friend. This means, whatever our enemy does against us turns to out to be a blessing in disguise and it actually becomes beneficial to us.
In the Hanuman Chalisa, we see that Parmatma (Ram) and the Sadguru are one and the same. For any endeavor to be successful in our life we need backing and blessings of Sadguru. Only Sadguru can give us unconditional and true love.
Bapu said that even a book can be our Sadguru. Sacred books like Sunderkand, Shree Sai Sat Charit, Grantharaj, Shreemad Purushartha, etc can also be our Sadguru.
Bapu said that many of us feel very proud when we complete chanting of Hanuman Chalisa or Ram Raksha or Ghorkashtodharan  Stotra 108 times and so on, but while these are definitely helpful and we should do it as they give excellent results,  but a recitation will be truly benefecial and would be blessed by Sadguru only when they are performed from the bottom of one’s heart and  out of love for God. And we should not get pompous after completing this recitation. Bapu says that as we go on increasing our recitations our love and devotion towards our Sadguru should also  increase and our ego should decrease. Bapu also promises that even we do not manage to concentrate completely while chanting and we tend to think of our other problems or are distracted when chanting and praying and make some mistakes during a puja, our Sadguru wull always bless us and take care of us. This is because our Sadguru has unlimited love and compassion for us.
Bapu says that to win over our Sadguru we  need to put in sincere effort.Bapu gives an example of Vibhishan and his trust for the Sadguru. Vibhishan worshipped Lord Ram as his Sadguru and helped him.
Bapu further says that if one feels proud of one's self after achieving success and out of this thinking says that ‘I have done this, I got success, I am great, etc’ then he loses everything. For any success, credit should always be given to Sadguru. It is because of him that one achieves success and climbs new peaks of prosperity .
So now to inculcate this love, affection, worship, surrender and thoughts towards Sadguru one should chant this Aradhan Jyoti No. 17 everyday when we wake up and before we go to sleep. When we wake up  we should first recite mantras like “Om Krupa Sindhu Shri Sai Nathaya Namah”, “Om Abhay-data Shri Swami Samarthaya Namah”, “Om Manasamarthyadata Shri Aniruddhaya Namah”, and then say this mantra.

Here is another extract from  By Dr. Yogindrasinh Joshi (Ambadnya, Amitsinh Rao)

SADGURU gives us that DYAN which tells us which ASTRA or weapon should be used in which battle or fight. We know that we cannot make perfect decision or UCHIT decision at UCHIT time on our own. SADGURU helps us to take this decision and that is HIS KRUPA (GRACE).

GURU POORNIMA is one such day where we have to remember the debt of SADGURU (GURU-RUNA) in our life. He will be successful who will maximum remember HIS RUNA in our life.

SADGURU is the ultimate TATVA in the entire UNIVERSE. Everyone can accompany you till your dead body is put on fire. HE is the only one who accompanies you in every moment even after your death till next birth. GURU is the one who converts the darkness into the LIGHT. There is always duality or fight between 2 things in our mind. We can’t take proper decision, so GURU TEJA makes us enable to take right decision and achieve Victory. SADGURUTVA is ANIRUDDHATVA and ANIRUDDHA is SADGURU only.

ANIRUDDHA means no one at no time and at no place can stop from doing anything. If we don’t gain HIM, there is nothing to be gained.

On GURU POORNIMA day SADGURU makes His DARSHAN so light and mild that we common men can easily accept that. HE makes power of HIS GURUTEJA so that we can easily bear that with our eyes directly.

When we do JAP, our mind is not concentrated on HIM exactly. Different thoughts peep inside or different tensions take away our concentration. But when we take HIS DARSHAN on GURU POORNIMA whenever we will sit for JAP, the same Photo of HIM, will be fixed in front of our eyes there wards after.
